“Thank You For Your Service”: A Hard Look at American Civil-Military Affairs

“Thank You For Your Service” is a podcast from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago about civil-military relations in the United States. Hosted by graduate students, the podcast aims to introduce the rigorous discourse about issues in civil-military relations and defense policymaking to fellow students who, like us, are not experts in these areas. The podcast touches on a variety of topics, including politicization of the military, defense spending, the AUMF, recruitment structures, and the portrayal of veterans in films.
